50 cent was honestly thinking of me when he coined the phrase. I mean. I’m short. AND IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!! Today I am grateful for all the years of my life so far and all the years that are still to come. And all the amazing people that I have in my life today.
When I was younger my Mum (a beautiful Filipino woman who’s skin is so good she looks about half her age) instilled in me the importance of having a good skin care regime. But it has been in the last few years that I have really tried to have a good NATURAL skin care regime. Enter into my life: LIZ EARLE.
Ok. I’m just going to come out and say it. Liz Earle I LOVE YOU. You have REVOLUTIONISED my skin care regime and restored my faith in the beauty industry. Seriously. I’m addicted. My best friend and I spend our lunch times at the Liz Earle counter in John Lewis learning from the helpful staff (I actually burst into tears once because my skin had broken out into a dry flaky rash and a sympathetic Liz Earle girl helped me find the right product – Superskin Concentrate – which I am still using to this day. You can buy it here) and buying basically every product that they stock.
So let me start at the beginning. After years of itchy, dry, painful rashes and eczema prone skin I finally figured out that the only way is to go natural. Liz Earle harnesses the power of ‘Naturally Active’ ingredients. Ms Earle and her crew are specialists in botanical ingredients, natural health and wellbeing. And as if that isn’t enough…the product is AWARD WINNING.
As a Liz Earle devotee I have tried almost every product in the range. But if I had to choose a favourite it would be the Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I use it every morning and every evening to cleanse my skin. This is a PLANT BASED cleanser which is deliciously creamy, free from mineral oil and always gets my mascara off! Massage the cream into your skin then polish off the cream using one of the nifty little muslin cloths, which comes with the cleanser. When my skin gets super dry and flaky this little white angel removes dead skin cells and leaves my skin feeling soft and radiant. The naturally active ingredients in the cleanser are eucalyptus and cocoa butter. A lot of girls I know feel lazy come the end of the day and to be honest if I’m really exhausted it’s an easy out to just use a make-up wipe or remover. But the Cleanse and Polish routine has changed me. It is a ritual and it feels incredibly decadent doing this day and night. And who doesn’t need a little decadence on a daily basis?
I’m super lucky that I work near the huge John Lewis on Oxford Street where I can get my Liz Earle addiction on tap but in reality all you need is the internet. Which is handy because you’re using it right now to read this. Why don’t you mosey on over to the Liz Earle website here where you can take the ‘Know Your Skin’ consultation and find out about all the best products for you and purchase them direct from the website. I did it and got a huge amount of advice on products to use which would help my eczema and sensitive, dry skin. My skin has never been in such good condition to the point where I am constantly asked what skin care products I use. Which is something when you consider that I am The allergy girl!
I’m pretty sure by now – thanks to my super hypnotic powers – I’ve convinced you. Natural is the way to go. But if you need more then you should probably know that Liz Earle NEVER tests on animals. NEVER uses genetic modification and all ingredients are responsibly sourced. So the goods are Honest too.
Liz Earle. We salute you.
In other news: did I mention it’s my birthday?!!
